Viking Tattoo Studio in Jarrow was established in the spring of 1995, by owner Chris Wright. The studio is fully registered with the local Health Authority, and has been awarded the highest 5-star rating in the tattoo hygiene ratings scheme.
Chris has won multiple awards for his tattoo artwork from various tattoo conventions across the UK over the years. The studio has also been featured in a number of tattoo and biker magazines during its 23-year history, and has gained an excellent reputation for providing customers with top quality tattoos and excellent service.
At Viking Tattoo Studio, we offer all styles of tattooing, from the very small personal designs, to full-on body suits, and everything in-between. We have 1000s of existing designs for you to choose from, or we are always happy to work with our clients to help create a one-off original tattoo design to your specifications. We work in a very clean and relaxed and professional environment, and also offer a tattoo laser removal and cover-up service for our customers.
We work on an appointment only basis, from 11am-5pm on Monday to Saturday each week.

At Viking Tattoo Studio, Jarrow, our experienced tattoo artists excel at creating bold, original designs for our clients, or are just as happy to work with you to bring your own ideas to life, or tattoo from our extensive library of flash artwork.
The studio is owned and ran by multi award-winning tattooist Chris Wright, who is an excellent all-round tattoo artist, specialising in Japanese style tattoos, as well as black and grey designs, full colour work, and old or new school designs.
Chris is joined at Viking Tattoo Studio by Gav Martin, who is a talented artist with over ten years of experience, and who splits his time between Viking Tattoos, and Triplesix Studios in Sunderland.

Laser Tattoo Removal
At Viking Tattoo Studio, our highly trained team also offer a tattoo removal service, using state-of-the-art laser technology. If you have an unwanted tattoo that you are keen to remove, our laser treatment might be the perfect option for you!
We can remove or lighten unwanted tattoos through multiple laser treatments. Though we also specialise in high quality cover-up tattoos, there are times when a tattoo might be so big and dark that a decent cover up with another tattoo is not really an option. In these cases, laser treatment can be utilised effectively to lighten the darkness of the old tattoo, so that it is a lot easier to cover, giving you more choice with designs and a better outcome for your new tattoo.
